UCU Youth
Open-minded religious education for kids and teens.
Sunday RE
Religious Education is taught on Sunday mornings and is all about connection: Connection between the kids, connection with the church and church community, connection with nature and the world at large, and connection with the spiritual beliefs and practices that exist within ourselves and others.
UCU kids and teens participate in the intergenerational portion of our Sunday church services (the first 15-20 minutes of every service) and are then sung out by the congregation to attend Religious Education in the building next door.
Typically, there is a circle time with introductions, stories, songs and a message shared by our Educator of Children and Youth along with adult volunteers. Arts and crafts, movement/exercise time, and outdoor games are common. Special activities, such as themed projects and church presentations, occur occasionally.
Family activities
Family activities are planned on a semi-monthly basis for fun and further connection between the kids and families of the church. Nature walks, camping trips, picnics at the beach and holiday parties are just a few of the many events and activities that our families take part in.
