Dig Deeper

Explore your spirituality and build meaningful connections.

Small Gatherings, Big Connections

A number of small groups of between four and 10 people meet monthly to foster closer connections and explore topics of shared interest, such as spirituality, cooking, writing, reading, racial justice, LGBTQ+ justice and others. Each group decides how it will serve the congregation and larger community. Members can join as many existing groups as they want and can also request to form new ones.

Lead Services and Support Spiritual Growth

UCU Celebrants lead Sunday services and officiate weddings, funerals, child naming and dedications, and other special services for members, friends, and those beyond the local church.

Celebrants are not ordained ministers. They are members of the UCU who come together to experience and provide spiritual growth opportunities for themselves and the congregation. They are committed to continuing their education, spiritual search, and to supporting the mission of the church. UCU Celebrants are registered by Otter Tail County to legally perform weddings in Minnesota.

Member Resources

Access the UCU's Online Files

UCU members have full access to the UCU's online files related to church history, governance, programs, tech support, community outreach, meeting documents, member stories and more, including the church directory. These files are not available to the public and should not be publicly shared without prior approval from the church administrator.

Files are stored in a shared Google Drive that all members have access to. To access those files, you must first sign in to Google (google.com) using your ucofu.org email account. All members have one (firstname.lastname@ucofu.org). Once you are logged in to Google, go to your Drive in Google (click on the little nine-dot square in the upper right corner of your screen). The church files will be in your "Shared drives" (in the menu on the left side of your screen).

Reach out to the church administrator with any questions, at administrator@ucofu.org.

Empowerment Grants

The UCU's annual Empowerment Grants enable church members to initiate and engage with projects that make a positive impact on the community, and that demonstrate the church's mission and Seven Principles. Projects can vary in size and scope, and may address a wide range of social or environmental issues. Grant applications are usually due around the end of February. Visit our Community Action & Giving page for more info.

Make a Donation to the Church

Collections are taken during every Sunday church service, but many other types of donations may be made; visit our Community Action & Giving page to learn more.
